Wondering which restaurants we will highlight today? Keep reading to find out!

The Original Pancake House

Yes, it’s a chain that has locations all across the world, but the most important thing to note is that the Fort Collins branch of The Original Pancake house has a whopping 4.5 stars on Google based on nearly 400 reviews. Chain or not, specialties like the Apple Pancake, the Strawberry Waffle, and the Corned Beef Hash will not disappoint. They also offer a number of crepes, egg specialties, omelettes, and more, ensuring that no matter what type of breakfast you prefer, you’ll find it here. It doesn’t get much better than that!

La Creperie & French Bakery of Fort Collins

A staple of the Fort Collins community, La Creperie is a real treasure in every sense of the word. Whether you’re in the mood for something unique or you want to go with an amazing version of the classics, you’ll find no shortage of deliciousness on their menu. From meat or fish galettes to fruit plates to french toast, each menu item is better than the last and the atmosphere is absolutely amazing. Be sure to get there early if you want a seat, or plan to wait for a table. Either way, you’ll leave smiling and satisfied.

Cafe Bluebird

Dubbed “the coziest cafe in Fort Collins,” Cafe Bluebird is indeed the place to be if you’re looking for a comfortable atmosphere. Locally owned and operated since the early 1980s, Cafe Bluebird’s website notes that their menu “features a wide variety of eggs benedicts, skillets, waffles, crepes and salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, and vegetarian dishes” and that their “food mission is to create unique, inspired dishes using locally sourced ingredients and house made recipes.” At the end of the day, when you are looking for great food in a great atmosphere, this is the place to visit. Local favorites include Biscuits and Gravy, Huevos Grande, and their Breakfast Burrito.

Rainbow Restaurant

Since 1976, Rainbow Restaurant has been making some of the best breakfast food around. Their website mentions that “every dish is prepared from scratch by our experienced chefs and, of course, backed by passion, care and love.” It doesn’t get much better than that, does it? Their Jim Burrito includes scrambled eggs, avocado, cream cheese, and salsa, and it’s pretty hard to beat. They also offer latkes, guacamole omelettes, pumpkin bread french toast, cocktails, and more. Be sure to grab some of their Rainbow Coffee cake as well!

Silver Grill Cafe

Perhaps known best for their “famous giant cinnamon rolls,” Silver Grill Cafe is always delicious. The story goes that “using a cinnamon roll recipe from a 1969 Better Homes and Gardens cookbook and enlisting the help of a retired German hand baker, Russ Hamilton, [restaurant owner] John managed to give the roll its famous ‘wow!’ taste.” Of particular note is the fact that they sell over 10,000 of their cinnamon rolls each month. In other words, if you haven’t had one yet, you really are missing out. That’s not to say that they don’t offer other breakfast favorites as well, because their menu includes breakfast burritos, egg dishes, sandwiches, hot cakes, and more.

Waffle Lab

A different type of restaurant on our list, Waffle Lab operates out of a food truck and there’s a good chance that you’ve seen it around town even if you haven’t had the opportunity to give it a try yet. They also recently opened a brick and mortar location over on Olive St. and all it takes is a look at their reviews to see just how much people love this local favorite. Whether you prefer your waffles sweet or savory, there is no shortage of options at Waffle Lab. Ask ten different people what their favorite item on the menu is and you’re likely to get ten different answers, which is a testament to the fact that everything on the menu is amazing. Whether you visit the food truck or pop on over to their new location, you’re sure to find that you absolutely love what Waffle Lab is serving up.
