At Ram’s Crossing Lofts & Townhomes we strive to provide our tenants with living spaces that inspire them. As a student at CSU there’s a lot to take in and coming home to a space that you actually enjoy being in can make all the difference in the world. We start off by providing you with top of the line appliances, hardwood floors, and spacious private decks or patios.

How you choose to decorate can take an already extraordinary living experience to the next level. It can be tricky to do that when you’re on a budget, however, but the good news is that we have a few tips that students can utilize to get it just right. We’ll be sharing them in today’s post, so check them out below!

Make the Most of Your New Townhome

Lean Art Against the Wall

All too often people choose to never really decorate the walls of their apartments because they don’t want to put holes in the wall. The latter is wise, but the truth is that you don’t have to give up on making your living space feel unique. Many pieces can be hung with velcro strips, but be sure that the velcro you are using is designed to handle the weight of your art. It’s simple to hang things up with velcro strips and simply peel them away when the time comes, leaving no residue.

But you can forego the hanging altogether by choosing the right pieces and then simply leaning them against the wall. This saves you a bit of hassle and provides your space with a unique look. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Buy Used Items Whenever Possible

It can be tempting to want your apartment to look like a million bucks, but the reality is that you’re probably on a budget. The average person moves more than ten times in his or her life and it can be hard to get your belongings from Point A to Point B.

Our advice is to purchase things used when you can. You have the opportunity to give these items a second life, but when the time comes to move you can simply donate them back or throw them away if need be. It doesn’t cost an arm and a leg and you save yourself the hassle of having to find the vintage couch that weighs 800 lbs. It’s a win/win.

Get a Plant or Two

One of the easiest things you can do to make a space feel more inviting is to get a plant. We’ve talked about our love for succulents and bamboo plants before, but you can get anything that you think will make your apartment feel cozier.

Be sure to read up on how to care for your plant and it’s sure to liven up your living space. A plant or two can do wonders, but a trip to a nearby home goods store might cause you to want to bring home every plant you see. There’s nothing wrong with that!
